E-mail Account Activation (unibas)
The computer center of the University of Basel (URZ) informs all freshly registered students on the activation of their e-mail account of the University of Basel. Students are obliged to activate and check this account regularly (see Student Administration Regulations, Studierenden-Ordnung, 18. Mai 2005, §11). This guarantees a faster and simpler communication between University Institutions and individual students.
Since the introduction of Online Self Services for Students (MOnA - My Online Account) the university e-mail account has become even more important because students log in with their University of Basel e-mail address and their password. Questions? ...

E-mail Notification about Results of Examinations
Students are automatically notified via e-mail about the results of their examinations within the programmes Bachelor/Master of Arts (Faculty of Humanities), Bachelor/Master of Science (Faculty of Science), "Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science" (Faculty of Business and Economics, as from HS08), "Bachelor/Master of Science (Faculty of Psychology), "Bachelor/Master of Theology", "Bachelor/Master of Science in Nursing" (as from HS08) or "Bachelor/Master of Science in Sports Sciences" (both Faculty of Medicine). All other results of examinations are communicated as hitherto.

Transcript of Records
The Transcript of Records shows all completed courses and acquired credit-points. Students will have already received the results of individual examinations via e-mail.
The Transcript of Records is mailed at the beginning of each following semester. Students are obliged (see Student Administration Regulations, Studierenden-Ordnung, 18. Mai 2005, §11) to control the Transcript of Records within 20 days and notify the respective examination office of the Faculty (to find the right examination office see Course Catalogue online)
Important: Verification of examinations within Bachelor of Medicine is being communicated depending on the Faculty's regulations.

Learning Contract (Bachelor and Master Programmes)
Any form of learning and teaching not positioned within a curriculum has to be specified with a Learning Contract between a student and his/her teacher. After the accreditation of the Learning Contract by the the teaching committee (Unterrichtskommission), it is binding for all parties. Download Form
